StarGirl Season 2: Release Date, Cast & Plot
Created by Geoff Johns, StarGirl Season 1 was first aired in May 2020 on DC UNiverse. To the surprise of fans, the superhero series was renewed for a second installment in July 2020. While the first season premiered on DC Universe and CW, showrunners have confirmed that the next season would be exclusively aired on CW. Star Girl centers around the story of Courtney Whitmore (Bren Bassinger) who finds the Cosmic Staff of Starman and fights off the INjustice Society of America. The last season garnered immense attention from fans across the globe. Since the renewal was confirmed, fans are keenly waiting to get hold of more details about the Star Girl follow-up. StarGirl Season 2: Release date
Season two of StarGirl has an official release date. It is scheduled to premiere on 10 August 2021. Given that, presumably, the filming of season two has wrapped up and the series is in its post-production stage. So, we have got a reason to rejoice as the series would drop on CW sooner than now.
StarGirl Season 2: Plot details
Without any concrete details, it is difficult to predict the aftermath of the previous season’s occurrences. However, we could expect the follow-up picking up from the last season’s climax. Injustice Society of America remains a threat despite its three members, Brainwave, Dragon King, and Icicle meeting a deadly fate. With all that said, there is one character that the series would focus on. He’s the monster, Solomon Grundy, who escaped and survived. Starman is likely to return to the series. Yet JSA’s rivalry is not just ISA, a few more rivals await their turn in the next season. Eclipso is also in a significant role in Season 2. To know more, stay tuned.
StarGirl Season 2:Cast
The Season 1 characters who escaped death would make a comeback to the second season. Brec Bassinger would reprise her role as Courtney Whitmore, Luke Wilson would take up the role of Courtney’s father, Pat Dugan in addition to Army Smart and Trae Romano returning to their roles as Barbara Whitmore and Mike Dugan respectively. Anjelika Washington will join the cast as Beth Chapel/ Doctor Mid-Nite II, while Meg DeLacy will appear as Cindy Burman. Besides them, the Injustice Society of America members who survived the last season is going to return. So, expect Neil Hopkins and Joy Osmanski’s appearance in the series.
