Almost 20 years following its release, ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story’ is supposedly receiving a sequel. ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story’ was a comedy film that centered on a group of outcasts who participate in a Las Vegas Dodgeball Tournament in hopes of winning the cash prize. With Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor and Ben Stiller in lead roles, the sports themed comedy narrated the story of Pete LaFleur (Vince Vaughn) and a group of misfits from a gym named ‘Average Joe’s Gym’ who enter a Dodgeball Tournament to win a cash prize of 50,000 dollars that they think would save their gym from the onslaught of the corporate health fitness chain, Globo Gym, run by White Goodman (Ben Stiller). The film ended with Pete winning the money and successfully renovating the gym. Dodgeball 2 will reportedly see the much adored actors reprising their roles with possible new character additions to the story.

‘Dodgeball 2’ will be produced by Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn with Jordan VanDina assuming the role of the writer for the film. ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story’ was directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber, a renowned actor/ filmmaker whose other films include, ‘We’re the Millers’, ‘Red Notice’ series and ‘Central Intelligence’ among others. Though there are no current updates on who is to direct the sequel, Jordan VanDina is predicted to deliver noteworthy comedic banters that the original film was known for. Jordan VanDina is an emerging writer/ producer whose films include, ‘The Binge’ and its sequel ‘It’s a Wonderful Binge’ among others.
