Antony Starr, through a tweet, confirms that The Boys has already begun filming. Gear up, you guys – we’ve got a lot coming our way now!
Antony Starr who plays the maniacal superman character Homelander posted a photo of The Boys cast way back when they were filming Season 1 (2018-2019). The caption said, “Season one. So long ago. Season four, now we begin :)”
The classic picture features (L-R) Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), Homelander (Starr), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), the Deep (Chace Crawford), and Translucent (Alex Hassell) – the original members of “The Seven” super team.

Antony Starr plays Homelander in Prime Video’s famous series The Boys. His character may be one of the most self-centered, vilest, repulsive villains in recent memory, but that doesn’t stop fans from loving his memorable performances.
Constantly tormenting The Boys and Starlight along with anyone who dares to get in his way, Starr has been a member of the cast since the first episode of the series! The Boys Season 4 has recently begun production, and Antony Starr confirmed reports, announcing filming has started. The news comes from his Twitter account, including a throwback picture of the Seven in Season 1.
Where Is Boy Season 4 Filming?
Hamilton, Ontario is currently serving as the backdrop for the filming of the highly-anticipated fourth season of Amazon Studios’ hit series, “The Boys.” Production trucks, prop vehicles, camera rigs, and crew members have taken over a stretch of King Street East, from Catharine Street to Gore Park, which will stand in for New York City in the series.
Fans of the show were excited to spot a fake McDonald’s advertisement for a “Homelander burger,” named after the character played by Antony Starr, who leads the corrupt group of superheroes known as the Seven. Posters of three main characters were also displayed in Gore Park, adding to the excitement for the upcoming season.
The awning at the Royal Connaught residences, a popular location for film and TV productions, is standing in for downtown NYC this week, complete with an “3301 Park Avenue” sign and American flags. Security on both sides of King Street were on high alert to prevent any unauthorized photography of the shoot.
The Boys Creator Says The Seven is a Running Joke
With Hughie detonating Translucent, The Seven has lacked seven members since the start of season 1. The Deep would later be exiled from the group for his sexual assault involving Starlight. And well, since then, we’ve hardly seen the group at full capacity.
Stormfront was added to the team for a bit; however, she too was killed, and the group kept its low numbers. The idea of the Seven has become a running joke for creator Eric Kripke. He tells Variety that since the beginning, there have been ‘almost never seven members of the Seven.’
“It’s been a running joke for us from the beginning that there’s almost never seven members of the Seven. After Episode 2 of Season 1, when Translucent explodes, that’s sort of it for the longest time, because then the Deep leaves and Stormfront comes in, but there’s never seven of them. So they have to really reinforce their ranks, I think that’s going to be one of the exciting new introductions in the next season.”
Following the season 3 finale, the only remaining members of the Seven are A-Train, Homelander, and The Deep, who recently regained his spot on the team. Season 4 should be interesting, as the world’s most extraordinary superhero group looks to reinforce their ranks. We’re still eagerly awaiting more news from the cast or crew. Though the filming rumour has been confirmed by Antony Starr, there’s so much more that the fans want to know. If we receive further updates, we will post it here. Until then, stay tuned!
