Its grisly violence has been a significant part of the anime so much so that the screens were blacked out in Japan while it was being broadcasted on television. The first part of Akame ga kills explored a storyline that differed from the original story of the manga. Akame ga kill’ Season 2: Plot details
Akame Ga Kill follows the story of Tatsumi, a fighter who leaves his village to travel to the Capital to help his penury home. However, he is swindled in the capital and separated from his childhood friends. Later, he joins forces with Night Raid, a revolutionary army working towards eliminating the corrupt practices in Europe. Night Raid is led by Najendra, the imperial army’s ex-general. The group also aims to overthrow Honest, the malicious prime minister of the state who is not concerned about the deteriorating state of the nation and its people. The second season would follow a fresh storyline built around compelling characters. It is also speculated that the new chapter would consist of a lesser number of episodes in comparison to its last run of 24 episodes. We are expecting the sequel to be full of action-packed performances, gore, and not forgetting the violent killings. Kurome and Akame are likely to take the centre stage in the anime’s upcoming part. In the Anime series, Episode 24 which is the concluding episode, the city of Capital is in complete shambles. The Emperor gets decapitated by the guillotine for not being able to fulfill his duties as a protector of his kingdom by Najenda.
He is also responsible for the death of Tatsumi. Akame takes on the blame for all the wrongdoings of the Revolutionary Army. She bids Najenda farewell, dedicating the rest of her life to rebuilding the empire.
All records of the Night Raid are redacted and they are now complete legends. The post-credits reveal a lonely Akame walking through the desert who gets ambushed by a bunch of Teigu users. Carrying the weight of her deceased compatriots, Akame battles the bandits.
BUT! This was not how the manga ended. Tatsumi lives in the manga series. For all those who shipped Tatsumi and Mine, they even get married and have a baby together (despite being stuck in his Teigu Dragon form).
Talk about a perfect and happy ending after the chaos they went through! Phew!
