It has been almost 53 years since Starbucks was founded and the coffee house has turned into an integral part in the lives of many, serving as that particular spot offering comfort in just a cup of coffee. So as a new year calls for new resolutions, here are some random instances which took place at Starbucks that display kindness from which we could learn as a community!

A video circulated on the internet a while back which showcased a homeless man who was allowed to order anything at Starbucks by a patron. From the video it was clear as to how both the homeless man was delighted to have been able to order and the patron was happy in helping him out. The instance is an example of how a simple act of kindness goes a long way. Another is a person whose order was paid for by the people in the vehicle before them. On a note which was shared, the party urged the recipient to have a wonderful day. In 2018, a teenager bought coffee for a woman who unbeknownst to her was actually going through a period of struggle. The act of kindness was thanked for in a heartfelt letter which appeared in the teenager’s mailbox. A video posted by a TikToker showcased her and her friend preparing a heartwarming gift for the barista who was prepping their order after enquiring about his struggles in life. The gift reportedly contained some money and a toy car (as the employee stated his dream of buying a car). The employee was allegedly overjoyed at the act of kindness and expressed his sincere gratitude. The TikToker also supposedly started a campaign after the event to help out the employee which also was a success.
There have also been instances of the employees of Starbucks helping out its customers and other civilians. One such instance was an employee who handed out pastries and coffee to the policemen and fire-fighters who were a part of the rescue mission during an explosion which occurred at Chelsea in 2016. Another involved a barista who held a large umbrella to protect a customer from rain.
