Gamers would agree if I say that action games are one of the best genres in the gaming world. We all get hooked on making efforts and achieving different rewards, especially in the games we play. The major reason ‘Vagrant Story’ became popular and one of the most awaited gameplays is due to it being of the action genre.

 

Designed by Yasumi Matsuno, Akihiko Yoshida, Hitoshi Sakimoto, Hiroshi Minagawa and Hironobu Sakaguchi, the game is an absolute treat. It is developed by Square and Square Enix and published on platforms like PlayStation and PlayStation Portable. The game was released on the 10th of February 2000. The composer Hitoshi Sakimoto has added music to the game like a cherry on the cake.

 

The game is set up in a fictional place and focuses on the character Ashley Riot. The protagonist happens to be an elite agent who is investigating a link between a leader who happens to be an extremely cultist and a parliament member of Valendia. Different characters join in between the ventures. Everything combines the game to be an extremely thrilling, adventurous, beautiful and amazing one.

 

Will Vagrant Story 2 come?

Speaking of the second edition, the latest news states that some teases by the makers of the game, especially the director, have been made. To be more specific, this was done on Twitter as a reply to a fan of the game who stated how he likes the concept of mental health attached to the game. The director Yasumi Matsuno’s reply to this was- “Thank you for your impression. I also like the concept of how the mind creates defences to deal with trauma. That idea was invented for the sequel to ‘Vagrant Story’. I pulled out from the drawer for the first time in 20 years.

 

The conversation followed later on when the fan replied “alright it’s time for the sequel” to which the director again replied, “But just you wait, just you wait.!!” So the probability of the second edition happening is definitely there. Several reports and news followed later on stating that it might happen soon in 2021 or later in 2022. But no specific date has been confirmed yet.

 

Teaser/ Trailer

There has been no trailer or teaser release nor a proper public talk with any of the game makers yet. Although fans wait for more news and information, it will take a bit of time to finally receive it. The makers seem to just start on it currently which therefore gives the fact that it’s going to be time-consuming. Until then, enjoy the earlier edition folks.

 

For now, all we have to do is exercise patience and wait for the game developers to update us more on the sequel and perhaps a release date maybe?
