Viewers are still enthralled with the tale of Naofumi Iwatani, Raphtalia, and their comrades, and many are excitedly anticipating the debut of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4. However, when will the fourth season air?
Producer Junichiro Tamura of Kadokawa has previously stated that he “would like to animate all of Shield Hero,” although he acknowledges that his ambitions are contingent upon the support of the audience.
“Undoubtedly, with everyone’s ongoing assistance. I’m thrilled that the show has outperformed my expectations, particularly in the US and China. Early in 2019, Tamura said, “I would like to thank everyone for the support you have shown for the show.”
Both the second and third seasons of the anime consisted of just one course. Anime seasons typically consist of three months, or “cours,” of TV shows, with each cour including 10–13 episodes.
Twelve episodes from the third season were spread across three Blu-ray and DVD sets. On December 22, 2023, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 Episode 12—the finale—was broadcast.

The Rising of the Shield Hero Season Four Plot: What to expect from the storyline?
When we last left off with Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo, and the gang, they managed to make the other three Legendary Heroes see how bad things really were and compel them to face the truth. They travel far and finally arrive at Q’ten Lo, a country that has made repeated attempts to kill Raphtalia.
Their initial plan is to sneak into the nation and make its citizens answerable for their despotic deeds. However, they quickly learn that the people suffer from incompetent leadership.
Naofumi announces, “We’ll start by bringing aid from Siltvelt to the town, and then we’ll charge towards victory,” as he is determined to bring about change. They started a rebellion to topple the repressive regime with this proclamation.
But just when they are making progress, Naofumi and his allies discover that certain strange weapons made especially to oppose the Legendary Heroes have rendered their talents useless! What awaits them in the future? What destiny awaits their journey into this unknown region?

The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 Release Date
Regretfully, there is no release date for Shield Hero Season 4. Regarding a sequel, there is nothing to be excited about as Kinema Citrus, the anime’s studio, has not yet stated whether it is developing a fourth season.
In general, it takes two to three years to announce a new season of the anime Shield Hero. The third season of the show debuted in 2023. Since there is still a ton of content, they don’t have to wait until 2024 or 2025 to announce a fourth season.
Thus, Shield Hero Season 4 is probably coming. There are only 1,200 Blu-ray discs sold each. Still, there’s a good quantity of figures and souvenirs, the light novel is doing well in the West, and Crunchyroll is basically covering the costs.
