A sequel to ‘The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost’, inspired from K. K. Beck’s novel series is underway as Brain Power takes on yet another project, this time a telefilm by the name, ‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’. The telefilm is supposedly a sequel to the adaptation of the Jane da Silva novel series by K. K. Beck, with the first book, ‘A Hopeless Case’ being published in 1992. the upcoming production will focus on a singer, Jane DaSilva, who inherits her uncle’s non-profit detective agency that aids helpless people with no one but themselves to turn to. Joining Jane in her quests are Jane’s Aunt Sadie and Detective John Cameron who guide her by acting as her mentors whilst she takes cases. The other books of the Jane da Silva series include, ‘Amateur Night’ and ‘Electric City’ published in the following years. Other works of K. K. Beck include, ‘The Revenge of Kali-Ra’, ‘Opal: A Life of Enchantment, Mystery, and Madness’ and more.
As per our sources, ‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’ has commenced its production this month, with Newmarket & Barrie serving as the locations for the upcoming telefilm. ‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’ will reportedly be streamed on Hallmark TV.

‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’ will potentially see Jodie Sweetin returning in the role of Jane da Silva. Jodie Sweetin is known for her role as Stephanie Tanner in ‘Full House’ and its sequel, ‘Fuller House’. Her other works include, ‘Hollywood Darlings’, ‘A Christmas in Switzerland’ and more. Additions to the crew include Myles Milne, Jessica Reis, Beth Stevenson and Nancy Yeaman. Myles Milne who is known for his Christmas themed movies such as, ‘A Puppy For Christmas’, ‘Christmas With a View’ and ‘Love in Harmony Valley’ among others is set to reprise his role as the producer of the telefilm series in ‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’. Nancy Yeaman is another producer who was part of ‘The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost’, ‘Christmas With a View’ and other productions of Myles Milne. Jessica Reis and Nancy Yeaman are other emerging producers who will also be heading the production team for the upcoming telefilm. Brian Cook is also most likely joining the crew for ‘The Jane Mysteries: A False Confession’.
With the production having commenced in early October, the telefilm will most likely premiere in the following year in Hallmark TV.
