The ITV series is set in the Southern parts of India and follows a heartwarming story that takes place in a secluded area, in an old hospital located in Kerala.

The Good Karma Hospital has three seasons in total with a total of 18 episodes. The first season aired on February 5 2017 followed by the second season which was released on March 18, 2018, and the third season aired on March 2020. According to the show’s creator, the fourth season is scheduled to begin filming in 2021. To know more about The Good Karma Hospital Season 4, we’ve compiled everything below.

The Good Karma Hospital Season 4 Release Date

After delivering three successful seasons, the medical series is gearing up for another season although it has not been renewed yet, we’re quite hopeful that the series season 4 will definitely happen.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the show’s creator Dan Sefton said: “We are working on the next season of The Good Karma Hospital, which has been commissioned by ITV and that will be shot – we’re not sure when – in 2021 sometime, hopefully.”

He resumed: “I don’t know. I know it’s going to be shot in the next six months sometime and then when it goes out depends on ITV. But we’re hoping it will come out in the winter of 2021/22 some time.”

Actor James Floyd wrote on his Twitter that reads: “Yes it’s true #GoodKarmaHospital series four is officially happening. The lovely fans may have already heard through the online vine but it’s being filmed at some point this year.”

However, he also says that he has no idea who will be in it and what the upcoming season will be like. He added, “No, I have no idea which characters are in it, including Gabriel. But. GKH4. Is. Coming.”

However, Sefton did not give any specific release date nor did Floyd but fans were delighted to learn this piece of information.

The Good Karma Hospital Plot: What to Expect?

The outstanding ITV series was last seen on the screen in 2020 with its third season and ever since then, spectators have been appealing to the showrunners to continue the story.

The finale episode of the third season, ended on a cliffhanger as we witnessed that Dr Gabriel Varma was seen departing from the hospital once and for all leaving Dr Ruby Walker completely shattered as he did not dare to even say goodbye to her but instead he left a note that said, “forgive me” and a rose. With an ending such as this, fans have many questions. Will Ruby and Gabriel get back together? Will Gabriel really leave the hospital? and the list of questions goes on. If season 4 happens the story will probably continue where the third season left off.
