‘The Curse of Civil War’ which is a spin-off to ‘The Curse of Oak Island’ is a reality TV series about a treasure hunt that dates way back to the American Civil War. The series debuted on March 6, 2016, on the History Channel.
The series is narrated by Robert Clotworthy and is being produced by Prometheus Entertainment and distributed by A & E Networks. ‘The Curse of Civil War’ has so far launched a total of two seasons with a running time of 43 minutes. It currently has an overall 16 episodes.

The official premise on the History Channel describes:
“A few months ago, Marty learned of a mystery that rivals that of Oak Island when he was introduced to Kevin Dykstra, a fellow Michigan man. Dykstra, along with his brothers James and Mark, is obsessed with a story of a national treasure that goes back to the Civil War.”
Dykstra is convinced that a gold stockpile worth around 140 million dollars is concealed somewhere around Oak Island based on a last-dying confession of a lighthouse caretaker nearly a century ago.
‘The Curse of Civil War’ Season 3 Release Date: When is it?
As of this writing, season 3 of ‘The Curse of Civil War’ has not been yet confirmed. The first season was released on March 6, 2018. The second season premiered on April 30, 2019. The show is not officially renewed or canceled.
However, the show makers did confirm via Facebook that “The season does plan to continue at some other time. No update on that time.”
So we have no idea when season 3 will return. The producers did say that they will let the fans know as soon as they schedule a release date. We expect that new episodes will arrive sometime in 2023.
