Nintendo has announced the third instalment of the game Splatoon 3 that everyone is extremely looking forward to.
The game was revealed publicly on Nintendo Direct in February 2021 along with the trailer giving the fans a sneak peek of the game’s new settings, the Splatlands which exemplifies a unique type of location from the ever-busy cities and artificial geographies related to video games of some years ago.
Splatoon 3, the latest instalment within the multiplayer shooting series, is on its way again and making its first entry on Wii U back in 2015 and adapted with Splatoon 2 in 2017 for Nintendo Switch. The series mainly centres on multiplayer wars between Inklings and humanoid characters which also can change into squids to swim that produces colourful ink.
Splatoon 3 Release Date: When is it?
Nintendo recently announced that Splatoon 3 is set to launch on September 9, 2022.
Splatoon 3 trailer: What is the trailer about?
The official Splatoon 3 trailer was revealed by Nintendo back in February at the Direct presentation. The trailer shows an Inkling on their crusade from the Splatlands to the gigantic, chaotic city of Splatsville. We also got a glimpse of the characters and the Eiffel tower which seems to be hanging upside down in the massive pit. If you pay heed to the surroundings you can also find the lore. The series is set on the planet Earth many years later after humans went completely extinct. Once the Inkling hero appears they go straight ahead and engaged in a Turf War to display their new powers and weapons.
At first glance, the trailer may appear to be a movie-like scene for Splatoon 3 as it displays some mad features. The trailer also disclosed some weapons returning from the last two games, including new appearances for the trusty, 96 Gal and the Range Blaster.
Although we got a glimpse of some of the most insane new weapons and character modifications, the idols in Splatoon 3 were not revealed yet. The first Splatoon introduced us to the two female cousins, Callie and Marie and Splatoon 2 is centred on Marina also known as ‘Off the Hook.’ Hopefully, we’ll get to some new stars in the splat-world in Splatoon 3.
Splatoon 3: What should we expect to see?
There were some issues and criticisms thrown at the series, Splatoon 2 as the options were lacking when playing with pals. Audio chat was dealt with in a phone app and connecting with pals was quite unreliable. We hope that Nintendo addresses the issues in the upcoming game, Splatoon 3.
Coming to the story of Splatoon 3, it’s still not known. If you observe carefully in the trailer it goes from the Splatlands to the Splatsville which somehow looks like a prologue referring to the main story. Aside from the multiplayer problems, both Splatoon 1 and 2 were very interesting and full of fun. It’s doubtful that Splatoon 3 will follow suit and most likely, a new enemy will make an entry.
