Seven Deadly Sins Season 6: Release Date and Everything We Know So Far

The fifth season of Seven Deadly Sins is currently available for streaming on Netflix. Nevertheless, fans were dumbfounded after discovering that only twelve episodes were available instead of the normal twenty-four episodes. A movie was launched in Japan on July 2, 2021, covering after the events of season 5.  ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ served as a prequel to the manga’s final chapters, which the fifth season of the anime series covered.

Although the concluding chapters in the manga series were covered in season 5, there’s still slight hope for the anime series to return with whole new actions and adventures. 

Just like the movie, the author would create a whole new saga to fill in for the new season. The other possibility could be that the makers may likely adapt ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: The Four Knight of the Apocalypse’, a spin-off to the initial manga. Filming for the spin-off kicked off back in January 2021 and it’s only a matter of time till we get to see it but at the same time it’ll take a while for the makers to come up with new materials for the next season.

Not much is known when it comes to the storyline of the potential sixth season and as we have mentioned above, the fifth season has entirely covered the remaining last chapters of the manga series although many fans are looking forward to the next season, it seems quite unlikely as there are no new chapters or any source materials to make up for the sixth season.

Needless to say, until the makers start working on a new tale the future remains quite uncertain for the anime series to return with a new season.

The Seven Deadly Sins are a band of knights in the land of Britannia (ブリタニア, Buritania) who had disbanded ten years earlier after being framed for plotting a coup of the Liones Kingdom (リオネス王国, Rionesu Ōkoku), the Holy Knights who sequestered them before taking control in the wake of a rebellion they organized.
