Alexis Ostrander’s upcoming project is a series titled as, ‘Rush’ that centers on a group of high school students. Being developed by Underground Productions. Underground Productions is an emerging production company who are popular for their works, ‘The After Party’, a comedy musical that premiered on Netflix in 2018 and starred Kyle and Harrison Holzer, ‘Snowfall’ which premiered in August, this year, and more. Alexis Ostrander is a known director whose works include, ‘The Haircut’ (a short film) which premiered in 2014, ‘Light as a Feather’ which starred Liana Liberato, Haley Ramm and Brianne Tju, and more. She is also a recipient of several nominations with her short film receiving several accolades following its premiere.
‘Rush’ will narrate the events that take place in the lives of four high-school students who decide to join a first-responder program named as ‘RUSH’ that exists nationally, and internationally. The film follows how the four students become young heroes working side-by-side with adult firefighters and EMTs all the while juggling their school work, home lives, and romantic entanglements. Consequentially, the program ends up serving as a medium for them to better understand the world and in the process, themselves. Currently, the upcoming feature film is in its development stage.
Details on the Crew for ‘Rush’
Trevor Engelson, Hadas Mozes, Scooter Braun, James Shin and Kyle Vinuya will be joining the crew for ‘Rush’ as the film’s producers. Trevor Engelson is the founder of Underground Productions and his works include, ‘Remember Me’ which premiered in 2010 and was directed by Allen Coulter, ‘Incarnate’ a horror drama, ‘Give Me Future’ a documentary on Major Lazer, ‘Small Engine Repair’ which was directed by John Pollono, ‘Alien Outpost’ a sci- fi action movie and more. Hadas Mozes is an emerging producer. Scooter Braun is a known entrepreneur who primarily works in the music industry. James Shin is the President of HYBE America and is a known producer. Kyle Vinuya is a part of SB Projects. SB Projects and ADD Agency will be joining Underground Productions for the development of the upcoming feature film.
Andrew Lenchewski and Kevin O’Hare will be composing the screenplay for ‘Rush’. Andrew Lenchewski is a known producer whose works include, ‘UC: Undercover’ which premiered in 2001 and ‘Royal Pains’ which was released in 2009. Kevin O’Hare is a known producer and a renowned Ballet Dancer. Additionally, Andrew Lenchewski and Kevin O’Hare will be joining the production crew for ‘Rush’.
With the filming commencing soon, ‘Rush’ will potentially stream on Freeform, a digital application that is developed by Apple.
