‘Tuva’, a new feature film under Red Planet Pictures (as it is rumored to be) is supposedly a crime thriller centered on a deaf investigative journalist who encounters a defining moment in her career but with its own danger. Red Planet Pictures is a production company based in London which was founded by Tony Jordan in 2006 and are known for several of their works. Some of the productions under Red Planet Pictures include, ‘Our House’ which is an adaptation of the literary thriller by Louise Candlish, ‘Dickensian’ which is based on the popular author Charles Dickens and stars Ned Dennehy, Anton Lesser, Tuppence Middleton and more, ‘Death in Paradise’ which is an ongoing series and ‘The Nativity’ which was written by Tony Jordan. ‘Tuva’ is originally an adaptation of Will Dean’s ‘Tuva Moodyson Novels’ consisting of 4 books.
The upcoming feature film will possibly be produced by Belinda Campbell and Caroline Skinner. Belinda Campbell is a joining Managing Director at Red Planet Pictures and is a known producer. Caroline Skinner is an executive producer at Red Planet Pictures. Additionally, Caroline Skinner has been nominated for several prestigious accolades. Belinda Campbell and Caroline Skinner is rumored to be joined by Charlotte Jones in the production crew for ‘Tuva’. Charlotte Jones is another known producer who will also perhaps compose the screenplay of the upcoming feature film. As of now, ‘Tuva’ is supposedly under development and is alternatively titled as ‘Dark Pines’ after the first book in the ‘Tuva Moodyson Novels’.
Rose Ayling-Ellis to Play the Lead Role
Our sources suggest that Rose Ayling-Ellis, a known actress/ dance will be playing the lead role in the upcoming feature film. Rose Ayling-Ellis has starred is several short films such as, ‘The End’ which premiered in 2011 and more. She is also known for her work in ‘EastEnders’, an on-going series, ‘Sing for the King: The Search for the Coronation Choir’ and more. She was the first deaf contestant to participate and win on the dance themed reality show, Strictly Come Dancing’.
‘Tuva’ begins with the deaf investigative journalist Tuva Moodyson (Ayling-Ellis) moving back to her hometown in the wilds of Scotland where she begins to work for a small- time local paper, desperate for a headline-breaking scoop. When a serial killer who has remained dormant for 20 years resurfaces and begins to kill again in the small community, Tuva Moodyson has a front-page story to write upon that could make her career, but is the opportunity a trouble in disguise? Exploring the themes of crime, conditions and more, ‘Tuva’ is predicted to commence its filming soon with Scotland possibly serving as its filming location.
