When a perfectly planned reunion party goes terribly wrong, it is up to Ali, the host and the primary protagonist to find out who among the members present is guilty of a terrible crime. Leopard Pictures’ upcoming production, titled, ‘What You Did’ will narrate a seemingly joyous occasion taking a turn for the worst. Rumored to be under active development, this upcoming series is being taken up under BBC, a British based public service broadcaster company. Leopard Pictures is an England based production company whose works include, ‘Saucy Nancy’, ‘Calliope Jane’ and ‘Hard Cell’. The upcoming series is set to be produced by Kristian Smith (Leopard Pictures) and Roanne Bardsley.
Roanne Bardsley is an established Welsh screenwriter and producer who will be writing the screenplay for ‘What You Did’. Roanne Bardsley is also an award recipient. Some of her popular works include, ‘Free Rein’, a series created by Vicki Lutas and Anna McCleery starring Jaylen Barron, Freddy Carter and more in the lead roles and ‘Hollyoaks’, a television drama which starred Jennifer Metcalfe, Tylan Grant and Anna Passey among others. ‘Hollyoaks’ was Roanne Bardsley’s debut into the industry as a writer.
Plot for ‘What You Did’
Despite the lack of additional information on the cast and crew that is yet to be announced, at Nilsen, we do have an extensive plot line of the series, for all the potentially excited viewers of ‘What You Did’. The upcoming series will focus on a planned reunion of six university friends who are meeting each other again after twenty years. The event host Ali, is living the life she always wanted, a successful career and an idyllic family with her college boyfriend who is now her husband. But the seemingly perfect party is suddenly put to a halt when Ali’s best friend, Karen makes an accusation so shocking and unpredictable that it changes the group’s dynamics drastically. Karen is seen struggling to walk from the garden, visibly bleeding and traumatized, when she claims that she has been assaulted – by Ali’s husband, Mike. This suddenly puts Ali in a dilemma on whether she should believe her horrified husband, or her best friend. As Mike offering a very different version of events,the situation becomes complicated as it becomes evident that one of them is lying. The events of the party forces Ali to re-examine the cherished friendship the group shared during their time at the university as Ali realizes the long forgotten darker memories, memories that someone would kill to protect.
