Will Adrian Dunbar be back as the pensive detective in the latest detective drama series, Ridley season 2?
Ridley is a British police procedural drama created and written by Paul Matthew Thompson, best known for his works on the police drama Vera and Jonathan Fisher. This series is portrayed in four standalone stories produced by Juliet Charlesworth that encompasses 120-minute feature-length mysteries.

Will there be Ridley Season 2?
As of right now, the series Ridley is yet to be officially renewed for a second season. But the primary question is: given the ratings and response of the previous season, can we expect season 2 of Ridley?
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Dunbar said: “Hopefully, we’re gonna go for another series, for sure. Because that would be vindication of all the work that we put into it and all the ideas we put into it and all the wonderful hard work of all the departments. We’ve had some fantastic actors to come in. So yeah, it would be a vindication of all that great work. So we’re going to keep our fingers crossed, and see what happens.”
Ridley Season 2 Release Date
As mentioned above, the second season of Ridley hasn’t received the official greenlight – hence, there’s no release date for now. Without an official recommission announcement, it’s hard to say when Ridley would be back on ITV. However, if we were to anticipate it’s premiere date, we expect it to be probably next year in 2024.
Speaking with RadioTimes.com and other press ahead of the first season, Dunbar noted that co-star Bronagh Waugh had “just had a new baby” when they were filming season 1, implying that given the circumstances, they didn’t get to socialize and chill much. However, he added that “hopefully that might change if we get to do it again”, which certainly suggests he is hoping to return to the series.
