Toronto has another shot at the biggest tour beabadoobee has ever booked. Live Nation Ontario said tickets have been released for her October 7 date at Scotiabank Arena, an 8 p.m. show that falls five nights into the North American leg of The Powerlines Tour.
That framing is not hype. The Powerlines Tour is beabadoobee’s first-ever arena headline run, with stops at Madison Square Garden on October 5, the Kia Forum on October 21 and London’s O2 on November 18. It arrives behind a UK No. 1, 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves, and her own reaction when the routing dropped in June was blunt: “i didn’t think i’d ever play venues like this in my life.”
Toronto is the first of three Canadian stops and the only one in Ontario. She plays Place Bell in Laval the following night, October 8, then heads west to Rogers Arena in Vancouver on October 28. San Francisco shoegaze outfit Wisp opens the North American and UK dates; Violet Grohl takes over for the European close.
Pylon arrives 19 days before the arena show
The tour is built around Pylon, her 14-track fourth album, due September 18 on Dirty Hit/Interscope — roughly three weeks before the Toronto date. The guest list reads like a mixtape of her record collection: Hayley Williams duets on “Nothing to Prove,” Turnstile’s Brendan Yates takes a verse on “Powerlines,” and Deftones’ Chino Moreno, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall and Title Fight’s Shane Moran all show up. Matty Healy and George Daniel of the 1975 produced “Write Me a Letter.”
The album rollout has been steady since June 24’s “Sun Has Set,” followed by “Switchblade” on July 14 and “Memories” on August 20, which she described as “one of the happiest songs on the album.”
Pricing could be part of the draw. When general tickets first went on sale July 2, the cheapest Toronto seat listed came in at $72 including fees — less than the $92 entry point for Madison Square Garden, according to a same-day survey of the itinerary.
Scotiabank Arena holds close to 20,000 for concerts, which would put the Toronto show well beyond anything beabadoobee has headlined in the city. Pylon is out September 18. She’s on Bay Street three weeks later.
