Isabel May, the popular actress from ‘Young Sheldon’, ‘Alexa and Katie’ and ‘Run Hide Fight’ will be returning to the screens again, this time in the role of a Production executive, Jane West, at Paramount Pictures. Taken up under Fuzzy Door Productions, her upcoming project is a feature film titled as, ‘FDR Wrote a Screenplay’ and the movie will focus on a female film executive’s path in achieving her dreams. Some of the known works of Fuzzy Door Productions include, ‘Ted’ film series starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ which premiered in 2014 as a Western comedy, ‘The End is Nye’, a documentary and more.
The upcoming film is set in 1923, a decade after the formation of Paramount Pictures and will follow how Jane West’s dreams of running the studio are nearly lost when she starts working with a downtrodden politician. When Jane West receives a film treatment from failed-VP candidate, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, her future starts to look blurry as the man suddenly claims that he contemplates quitting politics to become a screenwriter. Desperate, Jane trips into developing the screenplay, messing up her personal and professional lives altogether, while Franklin Delano Roosevelt struggles with the effects of his recent illness. To succeed in what they want, they each begin to use their strengths to empower the other in order to indirectly manifest their destined success.
Updates and More on the Crew for ‘FDR Wrote a Screenplay’
Currently, the upcoming feature film is under active development and Upstate New York will be serving as the primary location for it. For the movie, Michael Shannon will potentially play the role of Franklin Delano Roosevelt while Seth MacFarlane, one among the producers of ‘FDR Wrote a Screenplay’, will be playing the role of Paramount co-founder Adolph Zukor. Michael Shannon is an established actor whose works include, ‘Man of Steel’ and its sequels, ‘Bullet Train’ which premiered in 2022 as an action comedy, ‘Take Shelter’ which was directed by Jeff Nichols and more.
Joining Seth MacFarlane as the producers of ‘FDR Wrote a Screenplay’ are Erica Huggins, Aimee Carlson and Sam Hoffman. Julia Doolittle will be composing the screenplay for the upcoming feature film while Michael Engler will be directing it. Julia Doolittle is primarily known as a playwright and is known for, ‘Footprints in the Sand’ which premiered in 2017, among others. Michael Engler is an established theatre director whose works include, ‘The Chaperone’ which premiered in 2018 and more. With a set crew and cast, ‘FDR Wrote a Screenplay’ is predicted to commence its filming soon.
