Popular Netflix series Lucifer has been winning over the fans’ hearts yet again with the show’s sixth season. Although it was previously stated that the sixth season was the final outing of the series. However, recent reports have stated that the show might consider having a season 7, which would wrap up the series for good but so far this has not been confirmed by the makers.
Here is anything about the new release of Lucifer.
Lucifer Season 7: Release Date
The sixth season arrived on September 10, 2021, consisting of 10 episodes. A 7th season is yet to be renewed but if the series makes a return, it’s likely that the 7th season release date is expected to come out by the end of 2022 or sometime in 2023. However, no official release date has been given by the show’s makers, but if the speculations are to be believed, season 7 would be out in 2022. Although due to the COVID situation, the filming of season six was delayed, which further extended the series’s release date. So fans can expect the arrival of season 7 in late 2022. The news of the release of the seventh season has been doing rounds since a while.
Lucifer Season 7: Cast
According to some sources, the executive produces Idly Modrovich and Joe Henderson alongside the main cast, which includes Tom Ellis has closed the deal for the sixth series with Warner bros production. If the reports are to be believed, then the entire main cast is expected to return to Lucifer’s final series. The cast would include Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as LAPD, and the love of Lucifer’s life Chloe. Reports have also cited that DB Woodside would return as Amenadiel and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Joining them would be Rachel Harris as Dr. Linda and Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan Espinoza. Some sources have cited that along with the main characters, fans would witness new faces joining Lucifer season 5, season 6, and season 7. However, no official confirmation has been given regarding the cast of the seventh season.
Lucifer Season 7: Plot
Originally the sixth season was planned to be the finale of the series. However, the production team decided to call it instead of a wrap in season seven. The fifth season follows Ellis Lucifer’s story, who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell. He resigns from the duty of being the lord and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he helps LAPD detective Chloe Decker. In the fifth season, secrets would be revealed, and the beloved characters would die. The storyline for the seventh and sixth season has been kept under wraps. Reports have stated that the storyline for the sixth season would continue with that of the fifth season. It seems like we have to wait for a while until the seventh season’s trailer is released.
