Ever since the Netflix show made its debut, it has been one of the most popular original series on Netflix. The first episode was aired on May 2, 2017. The Spanish heist crime drama TV series created by Alex Pina has received tons of love and admiration from fans around the world. The series has 4 seasons and the fifth season is on its way.

Is season 6 happening?
Hate to tell you this but unfortunately, there won’t be a season 6 of Money Heist. It was already confirmed that season 5 will be the final outing of the show and there will be no other season in the future. It was announced on July 31, 2020.
However, another announcement was made in November 2020 that a Korean adaptation of the Netflix show was in development. It is said that Kim Hong-sun will helm the 12 part episodes but as of now, there is no specific release date for the latest version of Money Heist.
Even if Netflix announced that the fifth season will be the final instalment of the series doesn’t mean that all hope is lost. There have been many speculations that there might be a possible forthcoming spinoff/sequel but nothing has been confirmed yet and we just have to wait for more updates.

When is season 5 releasing?
Netflix declared that season 5 of Money Heist will arrive in 2021 whereas season 5 will be split into two parts. The first part is set to premiere on Friday, September 3, 2021. It will have a total of 5 episodes only. While the second part of season 5 will land on Friday, December 3, 2021, on Netflix.
It’s understandable why Netflix decided to release season 5 in two parts. The main reason behind this is because of Covid-19 pandemic. Filming had to be postponed and was delayed with the shooting and post-production.
But we still have season 5 coming out this year, all the more reason to be excited and wait patiently for our favourite show to hit the screens.
