Bailey, now 87, rose to fame during the 1960s “Swinging London” era, capturing iconic images of artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Bob Marley. His 1972 Vogue shoot with Alice Cooper—featuring the rock star draped with a snake—epitomized his bold, boundary-pushing style, as noted in peer-reviewed art history analyses. The accompanying image, a vibrant 1960s group portrait shared by Rolling Stone, showcases his innovative use of color and dynamic poses, a stark departure from the era’s monochrome norms.
