With nearly 7 decades of experience in the film and television industry, Julie Newmar is a versatile actress who is known for a number of her roles, particularly her portrayal of Catwoman in ‘Batman’ the television series. She was also the first actress who portrayed the popular character from the DC Comics. Some of her other popular roles include, Hesh- Ke in ‘Mackenna’s Gold’, Rhoda Miller in ‘My Living Doll’, Bonnie Brasher in ‘For Love or Money’ and more. She has also reprised her role as Catwoman for other works under DC Entertainment such as ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’ which premiered in 2016 and ‘Batman vs. Two-Face’ which premiered in 2017 and was also seemingly the last work she starred in (wherein she gave the voice to Catwoman). Both ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’ and ‘Batman vs. Two-Face’ also featured cast members from the 1966 Batman TV series such as Adam West and Burt Ward.
Julie Newmar’s return to the screens anytime soon seems unlikely as no official updates have been made on the actress’ upcoming projects. Yet, if another entertainer is made under Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment much akin to the animated Batman films, there is a possibility for the actress to reprise her role as Catwoman’. Seeing as how Julie Newmar’s Catwoman remains to be an iconic character portrayal, the actress’ return in playing the character will truly be a delight for the fans of the comic books. It is also possible for Adam West to return alongside Juile Newmar in the future projects under Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Seeing as how Adam West’s Batman is one of the most legendary portrayals of the character on screen, the duo’s pairing will certainly be as entertaining as the 1966’s TV series was. That being said, the perhaps possible return of the two stars will most likely be limited to them vocally portraying their characters, yet since no official confirmation or announcements have been made on any of the mentioned assumptions, nothing can be said with certainty.
