A look at the Plot of ‘Off the Grid’
‘Off the Grid will explore the events in the life of a genius scientist, Guy, who spent most of his career in solely trying to craft an energy source that can provide clean energy to poverty stricken countries across the world. However, when his employers attempt to take over and claim his revolutionizing discovery, he begins to take matters into his own hands. In fear of his discovery being used as a weapon resulting in its misuse, Guy decides to take his research and disappear away from society, to literally be ‘Off the Grid’, changing his identity and limiting himself to a secluded and small small village in Europe, outside of which he lives. In his newly found abode, he spends most of his time alone working on a rather small space he built himself. At times, this is followed by him helping out the locals even tutoring a brilliant young student. Yet, he finds himself at threat again as his quiet existence is interrupted when his former employers discovered his location. The rest of the film will focus on how Guy braves off his superiors.
With an approved SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement to continue casting, the upcoming film will supposedly commence its production by this fall in Italy.
