It has been a while since any news have been heard on upcoming productions that belong to the family drama genre and the premise of this upcoming feature film is as heartwarming as it presents itself to be. Titled, ‘My Eyes’, Wise Goat Productions’ upcoming film will focus on a working mother, who struggles to make ends meet and her child who reunites her with her past lover in the mother’s pursuit to save the child’s vision. Wise Goat Productions is an emerging production company whose projects include ‘When Sally Left Steve’ and ‘Tragic Enough’. Heather Ogilvie, Mark Lazarus and Judi Levine will be heading the production of this upcoming feature film alongside Tsu Shan Chambers and Ade Djajamihardja who will be joining the crew as the writers of ‘My Eyes’. Other additions to the crew include, James Short, Stephanie Pringle, Yumi Takada and more.
Heather Ogilvie is a producer/ writer who is known for, ‘Accidents Happen’, ‘The Blackwater Lightship’ and ‘Waltzing Tilda’ a short film. Mark Lazarus and Judi Levine are other established producers with Judi Levine being the owner of Such Much Films. Tsu Shan Chambers is a producer/ writer who is popular for her works, ‘Suka’, ‘Sequin In A Blue Room’ and ‘Unsound’. Ade Djajamihardja is a surfacing artist who will be writing the screenplay for ‘My Eyes’ alongside Tsu Shan Chambers and Angela How. Angela How is also set to direct the upcoming feature film. With a set crew, the filming of this predicted feel-good film has reportedly commenced on October this year in Australia. Eduardo Avila Sanchez to Join the Cast
Eduardo Avila Sanchez is rumored to be joining the cast for ‘My Girl alongside Adam Garcia and Kieu Chin Nguyen who are in talks for the primary roles. Adam Garcia is a stage, film and television actor who has starred in a number of works such as ‘Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’, ‘Coyote Ugly’, ‘Afterlife of the Party’, ‘Bootmen’ and ‘Love’s Brother’ in which he performed alongside, Giovanni Ribisi and Amelia Warner. Kieu Chin Nguyen is an emerging actress who will potentially play a major role in the film alongside the two actors.
The story of this upcoming film looks promising enough in its appeal as it seemingly has an archetypal middle aged working class woman whose point of view will be interesting to watch. Added to that is her relationship with her visually impaired child which is supposedly a prime focus of the feature film.
