The story takes place in a dystopian future where human beings are striving their best to survive. The movie revolves around a company of astronauts who set out on a journey through a black hole near the planet Saturn seeking a new place for humans.

The movie earned favorable responses for its impeccable storyline, graphic effects, direction, themes, performance, and so on. Interstellar was also nominated for five categories at the 87th Academy Awards and won Best Visual Effects, and earned several other awards.
Although the movie was a huge success, it’s been almost eight years since we last heard anything regarding a sequel. Fans are curious to know if the adventure will ever continue. Here’s what we know about Interstellar 2.
Interstellar 2 Release Date: Is It Happening?
Following the cliffhanger in the first movie, fans are anxious to find out what would happen in the next chapter. However, as per the latest information, the director and screenwriter Christopher Nolan has not made any plans on the sequel, indicating that the much anticipated Interstellar 2 would not happen.
This came as a disappointment for many fans because they had high hopes for the movie to return with the sequel, but it looks like the Nolan siblings want to keep the famous ending as it is and not continue the story further even though there is plenty of source material to make up for another movie. Henceforth, we concluded that Interstellar 2 has no plans of returning in the future.
According to IMDB, Interstellar 2 was supposed to come out on November 5, 2018, but Christopher Nolan, who was in charge of making the movie, decided to cancel it.
