Created by Jonathan Igla for Disney+, Hawkeye is an American TV miniseries that premiered on November 24, 2021. Hawkeye miniseries is inspired by Marvel Comics starring the characters Clint Barton aka Hawkeye played by Jeremy Renner and Kate Bishop played by Hailee Steinfeld.
This series is the fifth TV series in the MCU assembled by Marvel Studios, partaking in the same flow with the movies of the franchise and putting up after the events of the 2019 movie “Avengers: Endgame.” Jonathan Igla fulfills as a lead writer along with Rhys Thomas overseeing the directing squad.
In the Hawkeye series, Jeremy Renner returns to his character as Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, joining him is actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. It also stars Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Aleks Paunovic, Brian d’Arcy, Linda Cardellini, Piotr Adamczyk, Vera Farminga, Simon Callow, and Alaqua Cox.
In April 2019, the Hawkeye miniseries was in development by Marvel Studios. Filming for the debut season commenced in New York City in December. Along with Hailee Steinfeld, some other cast members were announced, and filming was wrapped at the end of April 2021. The filming location was in Atlanta, Georgia. This series was loosely inspired by Matt Fraction and David Aja’s Hawkeye comic series.
Though the first season hasn’t even finished airing some fans are already looking forward to the second season and here’s what we know about it.
Hawkeye Series Season 2 Release Date Season 2: When is it?
When it comes to the Marvel franchise everything is pretty much kept under wraps. If we have to talk about the prospect of the Hawkeye series season 2, nothing is known.
Hawkeye series made its debut on November 24, 2021, comprising just six sequences, and will be completed on December 22, 2021. This series is considered as a part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With just two episodes out so far, the series has already received a tremendous amount of positive reviews and applauded the two main characters’ performances for their great on-screen chemistry.
If the Hawkeye earns the green signal for a second season run, fans can expect to see the brand new episodes by the end of 2022 or early 2023 at the most.
The Cast of Hawkeye Series Season 2: Who’ll be in it?
Currently, nothing much is known. We’re talking about Marvel and they’re good at keeping secrets. Nevertheless, the two main characters will likely return in the second season of Hawkeye. They are none other than Jeremy Renner (as Clint Barton aka Hawkeye) and Hailee Steinfeld (as Kate Bishop and soon to be the new Hawkeye).
As far as the other cast members are concerned, we will have to wait till the first season finishes airing.
The plot of Hawkeye series season 2: What to expect?
Plot details are scarce and since this is a mini-series anything can happen. This means that things might be wrapped in the first season itself with no continuation or the first season might end in a major cliffhanger as an opening for another season run. Of course, we prefer the latter. For now, let’s wait for more updates from the showrunners.
However, if there is a second season, we can expect to see more of Kate Bishop’s journey as she becomes the next successor of Hawkeye. Another theory is, Jeremy Renner might not return in the second season if he decides to pass the baton to Kate but it all depends on the show makers and how the ending of the first season. So, let’s see what happens.
