About The Show
The official summary states: “Designated Survivor: 60 Days follows the main storyline of the original format, but has been adapted to feature more of the Korean reality.
“It is a story of a politician, who suddenly ascends from the position of Minister of Environment to President, as an explosion at the National Assembly kills everyone in the Cabinet who is ahead of him in terms of the presidential succession.
“Park Mu-jin is a scientist-turned-politician who struggles to fit in politics. Park is the acting president for 60 days, and during this period, albeit inexperienced and unwilling, he tries to uncover the truth behind the attack.”
Designated Survivor: 60 Days Release Date: When is it?
In 2019, it was announced that Designated Survivor: 60 Days season 2 would be dropped in July 2020. Fast forward to August 2022, and still it has not been released yet.
Sadly, the announcement that Designated Survivor 60 Days had been commissioned for the second season was only just a rumor. In a conversation for the KBS Radio show in August 2021, main actor Ji Jin-hee disclosed that it would be difficult for them to build a season 2. The lack of updates or announcements from the creators strongly indicates that the chances of the series returning for a second run are quite bleak.
Therefore, no release date has been announced for season 2 as nothing is officially confirmed. Fans need to wait for further announcements.

Designated Survivor: 60 Days Season 2 Story
The storyline for season two of Designated Survivor: 60 Days has yet to be determined as the drama series is still awaiting its renewal confirmation, though we doubt that a second season will ever happen.
