Descendants is an American musical, fantasy, teen, adventure-comedy TV film franchise. It premiered on July 31, 2015, on Disney Channel.
The films follow the life of some teenagers outside their native place. They aim to steal the Fairy Godmother’s wand and exempt their parents from imprisonment.
The film stars Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, and Cameron Boyce as the teenage children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil, respectively.
Descendants are Produced by Josann McGibbon, Sara Parriott along with Judy Taylor (1–2), Josann, McGibbon (2–3), Sara Parriott (2–3), Kenny Ortega (2–3) and Wendy Japhet (3).
Furthermore, the production companies are Bad Angels Productions, 5678 Productions and most importantly Disney Channel Original Productions.
Descendants 4: When Is The Film Coming Out?
As of Jan 2024, it’s unknown when Descendants 4 is going to be released. In fact, there has not been any declaration whether the series is under work or not.
Well, for the very first time Descendants debuted in July 2015, followed by Descendants 2 in July 2017. While the third chapter was released in August 2019, with Descendants: The Royal Wedding in August 2021.

Will Descendants season 4 return in 2024?
Though there isn’t any official word on “Descendants 4,” the show was officially confirmed in May 2022 (via Deadline). The announcement came three years after the third film of the franchise aired.
The first three films captivated kids and teens with its endearing cast, acceptance-themed themes, and catchy songs. The ensemble, including Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, aren’t quite ready to say goodbye just yet, and their affection may influence Disney’s choice.
