David Michôd’s supposed new project is supposedly a thriller titled as ‘CrushCrushCrush’ which is set in the world of music. The new feature film is a production under New Republic Pictures and will potentially have David Michôd directing it. New Republic Pictures is a popular production company based in America and primarily produces films. Some of the works under New Republic Pictures include, ‘Infinite’ which aired on Paramount+ in 2021 as a sci- fi action film directed by Antoine Fuqua, ‘The Tomorrow War’ which is another sci- fi action film starring Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, J. K. Simmons and more, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ an action thriller and a sequel to the 1986 film ‘Top Gun’ starring Tom Cruise, ‘Without Remorse’ which was directed by Stefano Sollima and ‘Ambulance’ an action thriller which was directed by Michael Bay.
David Michôd is a popular director whose works include, ‘Animal Kingdom’ which premiered in 2010 as a crime thriller starring Ben Mendelsohn, Joel Edgerton, Jacki Weaver and James Frecheville, ‘The King’ which is based on the English King Henry V (William Shakespeare’s play) and the Battle of Agincourt, ‘The Rover’ which premiered in 2014 as a western crime film and ‘Spider’ a short film which premiered in 2007. Brian Oliver will most likely be joining the crew for ‘CrushCrushCrush’ as its producer. Brian Oliver is the Founder of New Republic Pictures and its current CEO. Being a known producer, Brian Oliver has been nominated for several accolades including the BAFTA Award, AACTA International Award and more. Andrew Lopez will potentially compose the screenplay for the upcoming feature film. Andrew Lopez is an emerging actor/ screenwriter whose works include, ‘Platonic’ which premiered in 2023 as a comedy, ‘Jo Koy: In His Elements’ which premiered in 2020, ‘Blockers’ in which he played the role of Jake and more.
Some of the thrillers released in the past which are centered on music include, ‘Green Room’ which focuses on a punk band and the crimes they end up committing, ‘The Bodyguard’ which premiered in 1992 and starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, ‘Streets of Fire’ which also focuses on a band and the suspense surrounding the events that change their lives, and more.
