Although giving donations and raising funds with shows isn’t a new thing for music artists. Dave Grohl had once gone extra mile to help the homeless in LA back in 2023. It was on 22nd February that Dave arrived with a smoker trailer according to PEOPLE and barbecued for 24 hours to feed the homeless of LA.
This generous act of Foo Fighters’ lead singer came as a support to Hope the Mission. According to the media outlet, it was alongwith some friends that Dave actually cooked over 500 meals to feed homeless of three shelters in LA.
Grohl praised for barbecuing 24 hours to feed LA homeless people
On the smoker trailer that Dave Grohl bought, he and his friends cooked smoked brisket, ribs, porks butt and sides as per PEOPLE as they fed the homeless of LA. The act of the band star certainly was praised by all on social media and by his colleagues.
The CFO of Hope the Mission, Rowan Vansleve had even shared the clip of Dave Grohl doing the generous act of barbecuing to feed the homeless. His post had its caption as “And in the middle of our 350 mile run to end homelessness, we got the coolest video ever from Dave Grohl, of the Foo Fighters. Not only did I wish us luck, but he cooked for hundreds of people who live in our shelters in the middle of one of worst storms. Nothing but love and respect for Dave.”
Meanwhile, that shared clip of CFO certainly made everyone to react to it. As everyone was praising Dave for his heart touching gesture towards the homeless people he fed barbecuing for. One of the user commented to his clip as “The world needs more Daves!”.
As per a media outlet, Dave had taken the charge of the expenses for barbecue. While he also took rest in the parking lot when the mear was getting prepared. He was also a part of Hope the Mission’s “All In For Housing Campaign” to show his support for all that the charity has been working for.
