To those who haven’t watched “Grown Ups” yet one would be presumed that the movie is packed with humour and laughter which features Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Maya Rudolph. The movie is directed by Dennis Dugan and penned by Adam Sandler along with Fred Wolf, and produced by Jack Giarraputo. 

When the first movie was released in 2010 it received many negative responses but managed to collect $271.4 million across the globe. It was Sandler’s most achieving movie to date. In 2013, three years after the first movie, a second movie titled “Grown Ups 2” was launched which was poorly received by critics. The sequel only managed to score 7% on Rotten Tomatoes and some of the critics called it a dull, boring, and awfully crafted script. Despite receiving harsh responses, the sequel was a massive success and collected $247 million at the box office globally. 

Fast forward, it’s nearly nine years since the sequel came out and many people are curious if the Grown Ups franchise has any plans. We never know what might actually happen but we look forward to hearing great news sooner or later. Here’s everything you need to know about the third movie of Grown-Ups.

The cast of Grown Ups 3: Who will return?

In the previous movies of “Grown Ups,” Chris Rock played Kurt McKenzie, David Spade portrayed Marcus Higgins, Kevin James played Eric Lamonsoff, Adam Sandler played Lenny Feder, Salma Hayek portrayed as Roxanne Chase-Feder, Maria Bello played the role of Sally Lamonsoff,  Maya Rudolph played the character of Deanne McKenzie, Rob Schneider played as Rob Hilliard, and Joyce Van Patten who played the character of Gloria Noonan.

So we’re guessing if ever a third movie of “Grown Ups” pops up, we’d expect all the previously mentioned cast members to return and play their respective roles. Also, it’s not confirmed if Rob Schneider, an original cast member, would return as he did not appear in the sequel but we hope that all the original cast members return in Grown Ups 3.

In the past, Salma Hayek and Maria Bello revealed that they would be interested in coming back and happily discussed a third movie of Grown Ups, but this is not yet confirmed. It’s not known if it will ever happen.

Grown Ups 3 release date: When is it?

There are no concrete details whether or not the makers want to produce a third movie of Grown Ups. The fact that it’s been nearly nine years since the sequel was released has raised many questions, for instance, has Grown Ups 3 started filming yet? Are they done working on the new scripts? Will the original cast members return? And lastly, When will the new movie arrive? Unfortunately, we do not have answers to these questions. We know that many years have passed but we haven’t heard a single word from the makers or the rest of the cast members.

Although it seemed too good to be true for a third movie to happen, however, some people believe that it is highly likely for Grown Ups 3 to make a comeback someday and one should not expect it until sometime in 2024 at the earliest. 

Grown Ups 3 plot: What could be the story about?

No official announcement whatsoever has been provided till now. At this point, we sure age clueless about what could be the story if a third movie happens. Nevertheless, it is highly assumed that the next movie will continue from where the previous movie finished off. 

So Lenny might return to Connecticut to reunite with his pals for the final time, however, it’s not going to be that easy, each one of them will have their own struggles to deal with. In the sequel, Roxanne was pregnant and Grown Ups 3 will likely focus on the family. That’s all we have for now folks!
