Remember the times when animated or cartoon shows are just for kids? Well, that doesn’t apply to the present era as animated or cartoon shows are equally enjoyed by both kids and grown-ups. Needless to say, animated shows have become so popular that it has almost become a trend.
Likewise, Big Mouth is an American adult animated sitcom conceived by Andrew Goldberg alongside Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett contributed by Netflix.
Upon release, the series gained huge success and went on to release a total of five seasons. The sixth season is scheduled to premiere soon. A seventh season has also been renewed. Here’s what we know about season 7 of Big Mouth.
What Is The Show About?
The series revolves around a group of teens inspired by Kroll and Goldberg’s on how they were raised up in suburban New York, with Kroll who voices as his fictional younger self. Big Mouth inquires into adolescence while grasping an openness about the curiosity of human body and sex.
Co-creator Nick Kroll talked about his multiple characters in the show and his experiences throughout the series so far while in a chat with IndieWire.
“It’s a combination of letting our characters dictate the stories we tell, but we also go in season to season with larger themes in mind,” Kroll explained. “We started in Season 2 with shame and felt how successful that was for generating stories. We did it with anxiety in Season 4 and after that, we all felt like we needed a little break, and so love felt like a natural place to think of stories, especially with kids of that age. You’re starting to get your first crushes, heartbreaks, things like that.”
He continued, “I gave a lot of those speeches during this period of time. We realized it’d be more fun through a song. It felt like the kind of thing a kid would do.”
The show is executively produced by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, Blair Fetter, Kristen Zolner, and Jane Wiseman. Its producers are Nate Funaro, Gil Ozeri, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Kelly Galuska, Emily Altman, Victor Quinaz, and Abe Forman-Greenwald.
Will There Be a Season 7 of Big Mouth?

When Is Big Mouth Season 7 Releasing?
The giant streamer did confirm that the sixth season of Big Mouth would be out by Fall 2022, however, there’s been no official update concerning Big Mouth season 7 except for the recent renewal announcement. It might take a while for Netflix to announce the air date for the much later seventh season since the sixth season is still yet to be aired. Though if we have to predict an air date for season 7, an early or mid-2023 release seems quite about right.

Big Mouth Season 7 Plot Expectations
Because Big Mouth Season 6 has not been released, it’s not known what the storyline would be for the seventh season. But we anticipate both seasons 6 and 7 of Big Mouth will continue at a similar pace and center on the fictional character of Nick Kroll, as he struggles with the difficulty of social interaction as his body is continuously going through changes.
