With unsolvable crimes, unexpected twists, unusual approaches and an unstoppable team to cover it all, ABC introduces a new crime drama titled ‘High Potential’ that adds a new touch to usual crime dramas. ‘High Potential’ is rumored to be directed by Alethea Jones, a well known film and television director who is known for her works, ‘Fun Mom Dinner’, ‘A History of Radness’ and the short comedy titled, ‘Lemonade Stand’. Sarah Esberg (Goddard Textiles), Pierre Laugier (Itineraire Productions), Anthony Lancret ((Itineraire Productions), Jean Nainchrik and Dan Etheridge will be joining the crew as the producers for this upcoming series. Drew Goddard, a popular filmmaker will be serving as the writer/ producer for ‘High Potential. Drew Goddard is the recipient of several nominations and is widely known for his works, ‘The Cabin in the Woods’, ’10 Cloverfield Lane’ and ‘Bad Times at the El Royale’.
As of now, ‘High Potential is supposedly still under development and will likely commence its production next year in Vancouver.
What is the Plot for ‘High Potential’
This upcoming crime drama that is brought to the viewers by Rob Thomas, a popular showrunner, will trace the events in the lives of Morgan and Detective Karadec which unites the two in a surprising team. Morgan is a single mother who works as a cleaner at a police department. Having an exceptionally skilled mind, she helps in solving an unsolvable crime by rearranging some of the evidences during one of her shifts at the department. When the department discovers that she has a knack for putting things in order owing to her high intellectual potential, she is hired as a consultant to work with detective Karadec (Sunjata), a skilled yet rule abiding detective and together they form an efficient team. Rob Thomas is known for entertainers such as ‘Veronica Mars’ which starred Kristen Bell, ‘Play It Again, Dick’ and ‘Drive Me Crazy’ among others.
Actors, Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Judy Reyes and Amirah J are reportedly joining the cast for this upcoming series. Kaitlin Olson is an established actress/ comedian whose works include, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, ‘New Girl’ and ‘Bob’s Burgers’. Daniel Sunjata is another popular artist who is known for his performances in ‘One for the Money’ and ‘Manifest’. Javicia Leslie is well known for her movies, ‘Double Life’ and ‘Swim at Your Own Risk’ among other entertainers. Deniz Akdeniz is the recipient of an Inside Film Awards nomination whose works include, ‘Tomorrow, When the War Began’. Judy Reyes is an actress and a model who is primarily known for her performances in, ‘Claws’ and ‘Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story’ besides other hits. Amirah J is an emerging actress whose works include, ‘Shameless Hall of Shame’.
In ‘High Potential’, Kaitlin Olson will most likely play the role of Morgan while Daniel Sunjata will be performing Karadec’s character.
