The upcoming project under The Coven, a relatively new production company, will follow a woman who struggles to come to terms with settling for her fiancé-to-be. However, her situation becomes more complicated when she meets a jealous lover from her past, except, the lover is her childhood “Brett” doll. Titled as, ‘Brett’ the screenplay for the film will be composed by Shane Mack. Additionally, Shane Mack will be directing the upcoming feature film which is currently under active development. Some of the works of Shane Mack include, ‘Randee Mickelberry, I Love You’ which premiered in 2012, ‘Coffee and Kareem’ which starred Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Betty Gilpin, Ed Helms and Taraji P. Henson, ‘Slightly Imperfect’ which was released as a short in 2011, and more. For ‘Coffee and Kareem’, Shane Mack served as the film’s screenwriter.
Some of the works under the production company, The Coven include, ‘Hidden Exposure’ which premiered in 2023, ‘Terrifier’ 2 and 3 which with the third film being reportedly under production, ‘We Need to Do Something’ which was directed by Sean King O’Grady, ‘A Stitch in Time’ starring Hoa Xuande and more. Foxglove Entertainment is a sister company to The Coven and their productions include, ‘Send Help’ a TV series which premiered in 2022, ‘Lost at Christmas’ which premiered in 2021 and ‘Ghosted’ which is currently under production. Foxglove Entertainment recently received an award for Australia’s best Indie Film at the AACTA Awards.
Kendall Anlian and More in the Production Crew for ‘Brett’
Kendall Anlian, Priscilla Ross Smith, Dane Eckerle and Phil Keefe will be joining the crew for ‘Brett’ as the film’s producers. Kendall Anlian is the President at The Coven and her works include, ‘Offline’ which premiered in 2013 as a mystery drama and starred Kirsten Prout, Daryl Hannah, Chloe Bridges and more. Priscilla Ross Smith is the Founder of The Coven and is a known producer. Dane Eckerle is a surfacing producer. Phil Keefe is the co- founder of AC3 Media.
Not much is known regarding the status, location or the cast for ‘Brett’, yet, our sources suggest that the feature film will be commencing its shooting soon. Seeing as how The Coven has an office in Los Angeles, the place can potentially serve as a filming spot. The feature film retains a possibility for a character driven plot and with the story revolving around the interaction between a woman and a doll, there is a touch of mystery to it. A potential announcing of a premiere date can also be expected soon.
