‘Secret Crush on You’ is a recently launched Thai BL romance drama series that was produced by IdolFactory. The series was directed by the talented Cheewin Thanamin Wongskulphat and executively produced by Saint Suppapong UdomKeawkanjana who also debuted as a co-producer.
The Thai romance series is adapted from a novel titled “Stalker” by Darin. Its first episode was launched on February 11, 2022. However, due to extreme profanity, the broadcast edition from Channel 3 has many of the scenes cut out or lessened in each episode. The uncut edition of ‘Secret Crush on You ‘is available to watch on the official YouTube channel of IdolFactory.
Stretched over fourteen long episodes, the BL series is a blend of many elements such as cringe-comedy, romance, and gender bender, and we understand that this drama may not be everyone’s cup of tea but those who have watched it were fascinated by the performance although some found the storyline a bit boring and out of context. Nevertheless, ‘Secret Crush On You’ is still popular enough for fans who are looking forward to a second season. Let’s delve into detail, shall we?
What is ‘Secret Crush On You’ about?
The official synopsis for ‘Secret Crush On You’ reads: “Discover the secret of a nerdy young man who falls in love with a third-year senior. Because his dream is so far from reach, observing is the only thing he could do. “Kaojao told me I was falling in love. Som said I was seriously sick. Daisy said I was gay. But I think I’m a completely novice stalker.”
The synopsis continued: “But what happens when one auspicious day the world devises an opportunity for Toh to make himself known to Neua, the person he has been in love with for a long time. The unforeseen opportunity produces head-spinning chaos for Toh and the gang. Whether Toh keeps his love a secret that must be hidden or acts with daring and recklessness, the heart is not up to it and the opportunity is not easy to find.
“Will this work or will it fail? What will a beginner stalker do with his love?”
Will There Be a Season 2 of ‘Secret Crush On You’?
Currently, there is no news about season 2 of ‘Secret Crush On You’. Ever since the series wrapped, the show makers have not provided any information about a possible season 2. So at this point, it’s hard to speculate things due to the lack of concrete news.
Moreover, if we have to talk about how the drama series did in terms of viewership and ratings and whether or not it is deserving of returning for a season 2 run then it’s likely going downhill as the ratings and viewership were just average and received generally mixed reviews.
So the idea of the Thai drama series making a comeback should be kept aside for now as nothing can be said but the best that we can do right now is to patiently wait for the showmakers to make an announcement soon concerning season 2 of ‘Secret Crush On You’.
‘Secret Crush On You’ Season 2 Release Date: When is it?
The 14-episode debut season was released on February 11, 2022, and concluded on May 13, 2022.
Nothing is known when it comes to the release of ‘Secret Crush On You’ season 2. To be more precise, it’s not even renewed yet and we assume that it will probably take some time till we hear any official announcements.
Nevertheless, if the series gets renewed, fans won’t get to see the new season until sometime in 2023 or in 2024 at the earliest.

‘Secret Crush On You’ Season 2 Plot: What to Expect?
Overall, the drama series was a sweet romantic portrayal of two gay couples who are madly in love with each other with no-nonsense or toxicity but a lot of ‘aww’ moments. The couple Nuea and Toh are a perfect representation of gay couples and course, there’s also a lot of second-hand embarrassment which you must watch for. So coming to the point, season 2 will probably go with the same concept but maybe some changes are required to keep the audience hooked.
In season 2, we can expect a story shift which we think will likely focus on Daisy and Touch’s relationship. It could be a spin-off series. We’re not sure for now but we look forward to hearing good news in the coming days.
