Pretty Little Liars is an American teen drama mystery thriller television series developed by I. Marlene King, loosely based on the novel series of the same name written by Sara Shepard. The eighth and final season of the show premiered on June 21, 2017.
The season follows the five original liars – Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) and Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) – as they attempt to uncover the truth behind their friend Charlotte DiLaurentis’ death and find out who “A” is. Along the way, they discover secrets about themselves, each other, and a mysterious new enemy known only as “Uber A”.
The season also features guest stars such as Andrea Parker reprising her role as Mary Drake, Janel Parrish returning as Mona Vanderwaal, and Tyler Blackburn appearing once again as Caleb Rivers.
