Keckins Projects is gearing up for a new project, a feature film titled as ‘One Stupid Thing’ with Linda Yellen joining the crew as its director. Keckins Projects is a surfacing production company whose works include, ‘Fluidity’ which premiered in 2019 and was also directed by Linda Yellen with Nico Tortorella and Isabella Farrell in the cast, ‘William & Catherine: A Royal Romance’ which premiered in 2011 and was directed by Linda Yellen. Some of the other works of Linda Yellen include, ‘Chantilly Bridge’ which premiered in March, this year, ‘The Last Film Festival’ starring Dennis Hopper, Jacqueline Bisset and Leelee Sobieski, ‘The Simian Line’ a romance drama and more. Michael Leeds will be joining the crew for ‘One Stupid Thing’ as the film’s writer. Michael Leeds is primarily known as an author and has previously worked in some of the films directed by Linda Yellen such as ‘Chantilly Bridge’ and ‘The Simian Line’.
Additionally, Michael Leeds will be co- producing the upcoming feature film alongside Andrew Fiero and Ged Dickersin. Andrew Fiero is an emerging producer whose works include Linda Yellen’s ‘Chantilly Bridge’ and ‘First Reformed’ a thriller which premiered in 2017. Other additions to the crew include Kimberly Ehrlich and Mary Jo Slater. Mad Dog Pictures will be joining Keckins Projects for the development of ‘One Stupid Thing’. The upcoming feature film will potentially commence its filming by the end of November with Bay Head, New Jersey serving as its primary location. Our sources suggest that ‘One Stupid Thing’ has an approved SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement to continue casting and will most likely announce a release date soon.
Plot for ‘One Stupid Thing’
‘One Stupid Thing’ commences with a seemingly ordinary summer on Nantucket island where three high school friends are passing time casually in a rooftop. However, the setting is quickly changed when a supposed innocent game takes a sinister turn, and the course of their lives is changed forever. The events of that night remains a secret until the following summer when the three friends meet a mysterious girl with her own dark past who may have the answers they are looking for. The film then follows how friendship, mistakes, and the quest for redemption gets intertwined as the four characters get acquainted. ‘One Stupid Thing’ follows Jamie, Sophia, Trevor and Violet as they learn to accept the consequences of their choices all the while passing through the drama in their individual lives in their attempt to try to uncover what really happened in the previous year.
