Gaumont, the popular film studio and production company’s new project is a feature film titled as, ‘Un Ours dans le Jura’ which will commence its filming soon in February, next year. Gaumont past film productions include, ‘The Intouchables’ a comedic documentary which premiered in 2011, ‘La Boum’ is a romantic comedy which premiered in 1980 and starred Sophie Marceau and Claude Brasseur, ‘OSS 117: Le Caire nid d’espions’ a comedy thriller which was directed by Michel Hazanavicius, ‘Les Visiteurs’ film series which had its first film premiere in 1993, ‘Ballerina’ which starred Maddie Ziegler, Elle Fanning and more, ‘Belle and Sebastian’ which premiered in 2013 and ‘Le Sens de la fête’ which premiered in 2017. Their recent works include, ‘The Taste of Things’ a romance which was directed by Tran Anh Hung, ‘A Difficult Year’ a dramedy which was directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano. Both these films premiered this year. Gaumont has also developed a number of series.
Not much is known regarding the plot or the crew for the upcoming French film as it is currently under development. Yet, it is predicted to be filmed in France, home to the Gaumont Film Company.
Franck Dubosc to Direct ‘Un Ours dans le Jura’
Franck Dubosc is a popular French artist who is primarily known as an actor and a comedian. With nearly 4 decades of experience in the film and television industry, Franck Dubosc is also a recipient of several accolades. The known actor’s works include, ‘Camping’ a dramedy which premiered in 2006 and its sequels, ‘Rolling to You’ a romantic comedy in which he played the role of Jocelyn, ‘Barbecue’ another dramedy which was directed by Éric Lavaine, ‘All Inclusive’ which premiered in 2019 and ‘Family Swap’ which is a comedy film. Additionally, he has been a part of Gaumont’s films such as, ‘The Visitors: Bastille Day’ and more. Franck Dubosc’s recent releases include, ’10 Jours Encore sans Maman’ (How to Survive Without Mum) a dramedy and its prequel, ’10 Jours Sans Maman’ (10 Days with Dad).
Judging by the films of Franck Dubosc, the upcoming feature film is predicted to be a comedy. Yet, seeing as how he will be directing ‘Un Ours dans le Jura’ there is a possibility of the actor experimenting with a new genre.
