This upcoming feature film is about two low-level assistants to a rap superstar who embark on a perilous journey to retrieve the only copy of his forthcoming album, that they lost. In their quest, the duo infiltrate the hip-hop
underworld going to extreme lengths to get it back. Being taken up under Cedar Park Entertainment’s Evergreen Valley Productions, the upcoming film is supposedly titled as, ‘Kwame’. Cedar Park Entertainment is a production company based in Los Angeles and their works include, ‘Tax Collector’ starring Bobby Soto and Shia LaBeouf, ‘Deputy’ a cop drama and ‘Ready for War’ a documentary which premiered in 2019. Evergreen Valley Productions is a secondary production company of Cedar Park Entertainment run by Darryll C. Scott who will be producing the upcoming feature film. Darryll C. Scott is an emerging producer and the CEO of Evergreen Valley Productions which was founded in 2018.
The upcoming feature film is rumored to be a buddy comedy and judging from its description, it will potentially feature an enthralling sound track. Moreover, its primary focus will be on the comedic friendship between the two assistants/ protagonists that develop as a result of their shared situation. Currently, ‘Kwame’ is under development and is predicted to commence its filming in 2024. Paramount Pictures will be joining Evergreen Valley Productions for developing the upcoming production. Femi Oyeniran & Nicky Sliming Walker will be teaming up as the directors for ‘Kwame’. Femi Oyeniran is primarily known as an actor whose works include, the ‘Hood Trilogy’ consisting of ‘Kidulthood’, ‘Adulthood’ and ‘Brotherhood’, ‘Bruno’ in which he played the role of Mo, ‘Anuvahood’ a spoof comedy and more. Nicky Sliming Walker is primarily known as a producer and has worked alongside Femi Oyeniran for ‘Fedz’ which premiered in 2013, ‘It’s a Lot’ a dramedy and more. Femi Oyeniran & Nicky Sliming Walker will be reuniting as the directors for ‘Kwame’ after their release of ‘The Intent’ film series which consists of ‘The Intent’ which premiered in 2016 and ‘The Intent 2: The Come Up’ which premiered in 2018.
Matthew Kellard will be joining the crew for ‘Kwame’ as its writer. Matthew Kellard is an emerging artist whose works include, ‘Night School’ which premiered in 2018, and ‘The Donors’ which was released in 2019.
