If there is one thing that the post credits scene in ‘Doctor Strange 2’ promised, then its Charlize Theron’s Marvel debut as Clea in the ‘Doctor Strange’ Universe. Now, with the production of the third film in the series underway, we can surely expect the star’s return for the sequel. Following the events of ‘Doctor Strange 2’, the third movie will seemingly focus on Strange being summoned by The Black Priests to put an end to the decaying of the Multiverse.
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and the chief producer of Marvel Cinematic Universe will join Louis D’Esposito for the production of ‘Doctor Strange 3’. Marvel’s Phase 4 saw several developments in the field of both film and TV series with multiple experimentation in CGI and visual effects. ‘Doctor Strange 2’ had similar additions that were not present in the first film and the audience were quick to express their mixed reactions. However, with a more diverse story line and Charlize Theron’s proven excellence in action movies such as ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, ‘The Old Guard’ and ‘Fast X’, the upcoming sequel will undoubtedly sweep all you Marvel fans off of your feet!
Who are Clea and The Black Priests?
Clea is a primary character in the Doctor Strange Universe who is first introduced in the comics as Dormammu’s (an immortal being) niece who is half mortal through her father, Prince Orini. In the upcoming sequel, Clea will be shown as a member of The Black Priests, a race of superior beings determined to stabilize the Multiverse. The Black Priests will hold Strange as a “potential threat” to the Multiverse and the movie then progresses on how Strange and Clea try to stop its destruction.
‘Doctor Strange 3’ will potentially showcase other characters from the ‘Doctor Strange’ Universe such as Dormammu and Umar (his sister and Clea’s mother). There are rumors of Denzel Washington being cast as Dormammu and if they are indeed true, then the upcoming movie will be epic. The ‘Man on Fire’ actor is one of Hollywood’s most iconic legends and his performance will indeed be a delight.
Charlize Theron’s Clea
With her upcoming film, Furiosa (from the ‘Mad Max’ Series), Charlize Theron has been ‘the talk’ in showbiz and it is guaranteed that her performance in ‘Doctor Strange 3’ will be phenomenal. Fans can expect Charlize Theron’s Clea to be a refreshing addition to the ‘Doctor Strange’ Universe.
The post credits scene of ‘Doctor Strange 2’ showcased Clea is a violet bodysuit with a detailed robe to complement it. In the upcoming film, more outfits adorned in purple and violet can be expected resembling her character’s description in the comics. Clea’s signature white hair also makes its appearance in Theron’s look but with a small twist wherein the hair is slightly altered to pale blond to suit Theron’s wardrobe.
With fans ardently hoping for Sam Raimi to undertake the direction of the upcoming film, ‘Doctor Strange 3’ is expected to be a complete knockout!!!!!
