Bosch: Legacy Season 2 Release Date
As of now, the official release date for the second season of Bosch: Legacy has not been revealed yet but the series author Michael Connelly who also serves as a producer revealed that production for the second season is scheduled to begin sometime this year.
So the predicted air date for season 2 is that it would most probably fall somewhere in mid-2023.
The Cast of Bosch: Legacy Season 2
The show mainly revolves around Harry Bosch and henceforth, Titus Welliver who plays the titular role will be back in action in the upcoming season.
Other cast members expected to return in the second season are–
- Mimi Rogers in the role of Honey ‘Money’ Chandler
- Madison Lintz will play the role of Madeline ‘Maddie’ Bosch
- Stephen Chang will portray the character of Maurice ‘Mo’ Bassi
- Michael Rose will return as Carl Rogers

Additionally, Max Martini (Pacific Rim, 13 Hours) is reported to be joining in season 2 of Bosch: Legacy in a central recurring role opposite Welliver.
Martini is all set to portray Detective Don Ellis, a resilient vice police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). He’s smart and strong-headed, and by no means he’ll let any criminals get away with it and he’ll do anything to get the work done.
Expected Plot for Season 2 of Bosch: Legacy
As far as the storyline for season two of Bosh: Legacy is concerned, there isn’t much information on what the fans will really get to see. However, Michael Connelly (creator of the Bosch character) did reveal that they will adapt the portion of his book “The Crossing.”
“We’re going to use the book called The Crossing as our main storyline,” Connelly who’s one of the best-selling authors of all time disclosed in a clip shared on Twitter.“There will also be other storylines that will be new and that you will probably not recognize yet.”
The first season ended on a major cliffhanger and we expect the new season to continue the story from where it was left off.
So season 2 will likely focus on Bosch who will try to solve the disappearance of Maddie. It’s unclear if she’s even alive or kidnapped. The next season will explore more on that case and the reason behind her disappearance.
It’s going to be another but more intense mystery-filled season and we’re here for it.

Michael Connelly shares ‘Bosch: Legacy’ Season 2 update
On Dec. 11, Connelly took to Twitter to share an update about Bosch: Legacy Season 2.
“We just finished filming another season of Bosch: Legacy and I think that after nine seasons of telling the Bosch story, we have hit a high watermark,” he wrote. “We adapted THE CROSSING (2015) but added new stuff and of course paid off last season’s cliffhanger.”
That cliffhanger involved retired cop turned PI Harry Bosch’s (Titus Welliver) and his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz). At the end, the rookie LAPD officer was abducted by the screen-cutter. He was a serial rapist whose crimes she’s been investigating.
Is Bosch Legacy season 2 coming back in 2023?
Bosch: Legacy is a continuation of Prime Video’s Bosch. Both shows are based on Connelly’s books.
“I’m not sure yet when in 2023 the show will premiere on Amazon Freevee/Prime,” Connelly tweeted. “But I don’t think anyone will be disappointed. Titus, Madison, and Mimi [Rogers] turned in great performances as did all the cast; the usual suspects as well as some new faces. We will let you know as soon as we know when you’ll get to see and enjoy it. Thanks to all who have watched and read and kept the Bosch universe spinning. Happy Holidays to all.”
Bosch: Legacy is Gearing Up To Return With Season 2
(updated 3/9/2023)
As of 2023, there isn’t much information about the much-anticipated season 2 of Bosch: Legacy other than earlier updates. But we do know that filming for the new season has wrapped and is coming sooner than you think. Although an air date is not scheduled, it is highly expected the upcoming season to arrive toward the end of 2023.
Bosch Legacy is renewed for Season 2
Before the start of its second season this autumn, Amazon Freevee, the free ad-supported television service, has renewed the Bosch: Legacy offshoot series for a third season.
In Bosch: Legacy, Titus Welliver plays former murder detective turned private investigator Harry Bosch, who is embarking on the next phase of his profession. The series also stars Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch, a rookie police officer, and Mimi Rogers as Honey “Money” Chandler, a lawyer.
Bosch and Chandler team together to hunt down a killer who just might catch them before them in the second season. Welliver played Bosch in Michael Connelly’s flagship series, which aired on Amazon for seven seasons. Michael Connelly served as both the writer and executive producer.
The first photographs and key art for Bosch: Legacy Season 2 have been made available by the streaming service, and they provide a glimpse at both Hall’s new character and Hector’s return as Detective Jerry Edgar. (On August 24, a teaser will be shown during the Thursday Night Football game on Prime Video.) Where the first season left off, the second season will continue to piece together Maddie Bosch’s (Madison Lintz) location.
Described as “a political animal, both capable and savvy; he has worked the circuits of power in the bureaucracy for years,” Hall will play Special Agent Will Barron. He believes that hobbling the Russian Bratva while leading a task force will advance his career, so he approaches his case aggressively.
Along with Welliver, Lintz, and Hector, the Season 2 cast also includes Mimi Rogers as Honey “Money” Chandler, Stephen A. Chang as Maurice “Mo” Bassi, Denise Sanchez as Detective Reina Vasquez, David Moses as Martin Rose, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams as Detective Joan Bennett, Scott Klace as Sergeant John Mankiewicz, Gregory Scott Cummins as Detective “Crate” Moore, Troy Evans as Detective “Barrel”.
Bosch will return for its second season with more of the same gripping crime drama that made it a hit in its first year and I’m very excited.
The show picked up shortly after the events of the first season, according to my POV with Bosch (Titus Welliver) still trying to solve the murder of a young boy.
The second season of Bosch might be just as gripping and well-written as the first, and the addition of new characters and storylines only adds to the show’s appeal as I’m excited enough to see all of them.
Fans who have watched the first series are eagerly waiting for the second season just like me and it’s not gonna be any less!
We viewers, who have made this series one of our favorite shows, can now enjoy watching it on a different day and at any time and that’s GREAT News.
Bosch: Legacy Season 2 will be launched on Amazon Prime Video and I hope that the Prime Video provides total justice to the hype of the series and its audience.
It is based on a series of books written by Michael Connelly named after Harry Bosch which is so very deeply enacted and displayed in the whole series!
The series stars such as Titus Welliver acting as the main character and Jamie Hector as his sidekick is one of the dream duos we all wish for in a series.
This dark comedy-drama series of a crime investigator, Harry Bosch, who had been framed for murdering a notorious serial killer from his past is a thrill to watch altogether.
You’ll be seeing more of Maddie in season 2 and I’m so happy to hear that.
I can’t wait to see how season 2 explores the disappearance of Maddie and her connection to the city.
