The series has a total of 13 episodes. It is produced by The Asylum and shot in Spokane, Washington.

Z Nation Season 6 Renewal Status
The first edition of Z Nation was ordered in early 2017, debuting on Syfy on December 15, 2017. It turned out to be a huge hit regarding viewership and ratings.
Syfy renewed the series for a fifth season on December 15, 2017, which was renewed on December 22, 2018. So far, the series has released a total of sixty-eight seasons. However, SYFY announced the season five to be the last season of the series. Z Nation was cancelled by Syfy after the fifth season.
The showrunner, David Michael Latt, uploaded a video on his social media platforms on Friday stating, “We wanted to tell you face to face… that we were not renewed for Season 6. “We’re stopping at Season 5. We’re very sad, but we’re also really grateful for the opportunities that we had on the show”.
The last episode of the series ended after five years. The series’ popularity decreased gradually; thus, it was officially cancelled after the fifth season.
