World on Fire season 2 release date?
The release date of the series has not been confirmed yet. Since filming began in 2021, we can expect the new season to release in mid-2022. In case it doesn’t release this year, you can expect the series to release in the first half of 2023. This lessens the chances of its renewal. The finale episodes, however, ended with an open termination, this shows that the series might continue. Even BBC One channel in its tweet mentioned “our door is always open”, we can anticipate its arrival as well.

According to an official statement by BBC regarding the air date, season two is set to premiere in 2023 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. However, they did not mention the exact release date.
Series executive producer Peter Bowker disclosed about how everyone is excited about getting back to work, explaining in a statement:
“The second season of World on Fire has been a long wait due to a certain pandemic and this makes the beginning of filming especially exciting.
