The series was written by Howard Overman and directed by Gilles Coulier and Richard Clark. The series is an adaptation of H.G Wells 1898 novel of the same name. The series first premiered in 2019 and has been renewed for a season 2. Rumors have been doing rounds in the market regarding the release of season 3. War of The Worlds Season 3: Release Date
War of The World season was announced last year. But fox networks has officially not announced the release date of the war of the worlds. The production of the series was halted due to the covid-19 pandemic situation. Now the production has resumed, and the chances are that it would release in mid of 2021. The first season was premiered on 28 October 2019 that consists of 8 episodes. If season 2 is released this year, then one can expect season 3 to release this year. However, no official confirmation has been yet given regarding the release of season 3 but fans likely will get to see it sometime in 2022 or it may go beyond that.
War of The Worlds Season 3: Plot
The series takes place in present-day Europe. It serves as a re-imagining f the classic H.G Wells novel. The series showed events of a Martian invasion. The experience is experienced by an unidentified male narrator and his brother. The story is shown a few years before the invasion. The narrator is seen witnessing one of the flashes of light on the surface of Mars. He alerts his companion, well-known astronomer Ogilvy. Early one morning, a falling star appears over England. It crashes at Horsell common, a large expanse of public land near the narrator’s home in Maybury. A mysterious cylindrical object embedded in a sandpit is found on the site of the crash. When the cylinder opens, the first glimpse of Martians is shown. The show takes a turn where war begins between the Martians and the military. Season 2 and 3 are likely to follow the storyline of the people surviving the Martian invasion. Speculations are that the storyline for the upcoming seasons would reveal the reason behind the martian attacks. One has to wait till the trailer is released to get a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming seasons.

Season 1 features Gabriel Byrne as Bill Ward, Elizabeth McGovern as Helen Brown, Daisy Edgar Jones as Emil Gresham, Bayo Gbadamosi as Kariem Gat Wich Machar. The other cast included Lea Drucker as Catherine Durand, Adel Bencherif as Colonel Mustafa Mokrani, Emilie de Preissac as Sophia Durand, Natasha Little as Sarah Gresham, Ty Tennant as Tom Gresham, Stephen Campbell Moore as Jonathon Gresham, Stéphane Caillard as Chloe Dumon, and Aaron Heffernan as Ash Daniel. The cast for season 2 and 3 is likely to be the same.
