With the oh-so-immaculate blockbuster hit of the first three seasons of the British historical TV drama series, Victoria, fans just cannot sit back and relax anymore! Everyone is literally awaiting the release of the fourth instalment of the Victoria series. However, the major query still remains the same – when will it be renewed? Who all will be casted in the TV show? When will the teaser be released? What about the plot? Oh, we get what you guys are going through. But worry you not; in this post, we’ll update y’all on everything you need to know!
Victoria is a British historical drama series that’s based on Queen Victoria’s early stages of life. The show revolves around her life, starting from her adulthood when she ascended to the throne to her marriage with Prince Albert. The series was written and illustrated by Daisy Goodwin – starring Jenna Coleman as Queen Victoria. The actress did a fantastic job – and heaped baskets full of praises and love!
The show premiered on the 28th of August, 2016 in the United Kingdom – and boy, was it a super hit! Later ITV launched the other two seasons of the show. The third instalment of Victoria aired in 2019 – and ever since fans are awaiting the release of the fourth season. When do you think it will premiere? Well, let’s figure it out.
Release Date of Victoria Season 4?
The third instalment of Victoria came to a close with a plethora of answered questions. This makes it easy to anticipate that the production team will come up with another season. In an interview, the showrunner, Daisy Goodwin asserted that she hopes the show will comprise a total of five seasons. “We couldn’t do it after she dies, so I’ll say there will be five seasons”, she said. She also said that she’s already writing season 4!
Good news for the fans – Daisy Goodwin, the showrunner said, she’s already writing the script for Victoria Season 4. Yay!
“I am working on series four at the moment and that’s going to be an absolute humdinger, because… well, you can go to Wikipedia to find out!” she told Digital Spy. “Somebody dies and someone new comes on the scene, so there is a lot to play with there. I’ve really gotten back into it and am really enjoying writing it.”
Although there have been no official confirmation or announcements from the production team or cast members, we’re sure we’ll get Victoria Season 4! We can’t, however, mention the exact release date. Besides, the showrunners have already made it pretty evident that they would like to take a break after the third season. So, it’s an easy guess that the release date of Victoria Season 4 is not nearby!
Expected Cast of Victoria Season 4?
Adhering to the fact that there have been no official reports by the crew or cast, we can’t quite be sure what potential faces we’ll get to see in the upcoming season! The show would obviously cast the lead role, Jenna Coleman as Queen Victoria – because, without her, it would make a little less sense. If new cast members are introduced, they will pass an official statement for the same. We’ll reveal it all here. So, stay tuned!
If the significant characters are the same as to what they were in the earlier three seasons, they include:
- Jenna Coleman as Queen Victoria
- Tom Hughes as Prince Consort Albert
- Laurence Fox as Lord Palmerston
- Feargus O’Connor by Ben Cartwright
- Kate Fleetwood as Princess Feodora
- Joseph Weld by David Burnett
The Plot of Victoria Season 4?
In the previous instalment, we witnessed hell lots of struggle and fierceness. We saw the Chartist movement reaching its peak in the UK, making Queen Victoria leave the kingdom for her survival. We also saw Europe on the literal precipice of an uprising.
No wonder, the third instalment concluded with a spine-chiller, wherein Prince Albert falls next to the Queen. We still can’t say if he’s alive or dead. Guess season 4 will comprise whether Prince Albert will live or die. There’s a minuscule per cent chance that the Prince would die – as history talks about his survival for the next decade at least.
According to the showrunner, season 4 will be the darkest of all seasons! It also makes sense because the fourth instalment is expected to occur in 1852, which was the most violent and tumultuous period in the United Kingdom’s history. Heck, it’s going to be harsh and dark! Furthermore, Daisy Goodwin said a fundamental character will die in season 4. Gosh! Who could it be though? Guess, all we can do is wait!
