HBO Max has officially greenlit The Sex Lives of College Girls for a third outing.
The renewal announcement dropped on December 14, 2022, just a day before the last two episodes of the second season were launched on the streaming platform. Fans of this show were delighted upon hearing the news after witnessing all the suspense that season two finished on.
In a statement, Suzanna Makkos, EVP original comedy and adult animation at HBO Max said, “Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble continue to brilliantly capture the college experience in the most entertaining and relatable way. This series is the perfect balance of comedy, sex, curiosity, and chaos, and we can’t wait to see what the next season brings.”

Conceived by Mindy Kaling with Justin Noble, The Sex Lives of College Girls is an American comedy teenage drama streaming TV series which was launched on November 18, 2021, on HBO Max. Following the super success of the first season, the series was quickly greenlit for a second season, which was released in November 2022. The third season was renewed in December 2022.
The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 3 Release Date: When is it?
As of now, HBO Max has not yet announced the air date for the upcoming season of The Sex Lives of College Girls. The first season of the comedy-drama series was released on November 18, 2021. The second season premiered on November 17, 2022. Plot Details for Season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls
Nothing concrete has been revealed by the showrunners as of now. However, we do know that the new season will try to solve all the cliffhangers that the last season left behind.
In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Justin Noble shared that Bela (Amrit Kaur) “a lot to figure out” in season three.
“When she’s giving that laundry list of items at the end of the episode, you really do realize that she has surprisingly not had the track record at Essex that her upbeat, positive energy self probably thought she had. I think it hits her fast, and I think the perfectionist in her just has to cut and run. It’s like, ‘This is too much to fight backwards from. I should start fresh somewhere else,’” he explained.
