All About The Astronauts?
The Astronauts is an American action-adventure TV series that premiered on Nickelodeon on November 13, 2020. The series aired a total of 9 episodes each of 20-22 minutes long that ended on January 15, 2021.
The storyline of the series revolves around five children who sneak onto a spaceship and the ship’s artificial intelligence Matilda sends them into space. It stars Miya Cech, Bryce Gheisar, Keith L. Williams, Kayden Grace Swan, and Ben Daon, as well as features the voice of Paige Howard.
The series is produced by Jim O’Grady in association with Dean Israelite, Stephanie Sperber, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Daniel Knauf as executive producers.
The production companies behind the series are Imagine Kids & Family and Nickelodeon Productions.
Cast of ‘The Astronauts’ Season 2?
So far, keeping the all previous seasons in mind, we can anticipate that there might be no changes in the cast. As per the leakes, we might expect the arrival of some new characters as well in the upcoming season.

Release Date of the Season 2 of The Astronauts?
So far, there’s no official confirmation regarding the date of release of the upcoming season of ‘The Astronauts’. In fact, it seems that Nickelodeon is going to cancel the order of the upcoming action adventure TV series. Sadly, there are almost 90% chance that the series is not going to be renewed by the maker, the reasons are still kept under wraps. As of now, the cancellation is not officially announced by the makers.
However, while speaking to Nerds and Beyond, Albert Nicholas, who portrayed Charlie Collins on The Astronauts hinted that there are no plans for a second season.
“I’d love to do film more than anything, There actually aren’t a lot of movies that film here, but it’s very TV based,” said Nicholas, adding “[i]f The Astronauts continued for more season there would have been opportunity for me to request to start shadowing. I’m currently researching and asking people about directing though.”
Nicholas saying “if The Astronauts continued for more season” suggests that Nickelodeon has unfortunately decided not to order a new season.

Where To Watch: The Astronauts?
The previous season of The Astronauts is not available to watch on Nickelodeon. Other than these, the show wasn’t available on any other streaming platform.
Although there’s been no official announcements by the makers as to where you can watch the forthcoming installment, it’s an easy speculation that it will be available on the same platforms (unless there are any changes made).
That said, you can expect it to stream on Nickelodeon for sure. The trailer would be released on YouTube (if it is renewed).
The Astronauts Season 2 Trailer?
As the release date hasn’t been announced, the promotional teaser or trailer isn’t out yet. It will premiere after 2-3 months when the official release date of the show has been finalised.
