Osamu Dazai is pretty much known by everyone as the suicidal maniac who is also a detective. “Bungou Stray Dogs,” one of the most loved anime, is gearing up for its return and fans couldn’t be more delighted. The anime series has had three successful seasons under its belt with season four already announced.

The first season came out on April 7, 2016, and has since then received massive recognition across the globe within the release of just a few episodes. And finally, fans will now get a new season after such a long wait. Here’s what we know about season 4 of “Bungou Stray Dogs.”
Bungou Stray Dogs Release Date: When is it?
As of this writing, there is no release date announced for the much-awaited 4th season of “Bungou Stray Dogs.” The third season of this very successful anime series aired from April 12 –June 28, 2019, which came out over three years ago and it’s quite understandable why fans are getting a little impatient.
However, one should not fret because season 4 will be released sometime in early or mid 2023. In the meantime, wait for further official announcements.
The Cast & Characters of Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4
All the main characters are expected to return in season 4 including-
- Uemura Yuto will be voicing Nakajima Atsushi
- Miyano Mamoru will voice Dazai Osamu
- Morohoshi Sumire will be voice of Izumi Kyoka

The storyline for Season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs
It’s most likely that the fourth season will continue from where the previous season left off. The third season finished at Vol 13– chapter 53 of the original manga series.
So we could say that there is enough source material for a fourth season and it looks like the manga series is nearing its ending. This will naturally bring an to the series as well once the manga series completes the story.
Also, the previous three seasons consisted of a total of 12 episodes each, so it is expected that the upcoming 4th season will also have the same number of episodes with a blend of action, comedy, and a bit of romance featuring our suicidal maniac and a character loved by all and some other fan favorites characters as well.
