Robert Mack, an emerging producer/ director’s upcoming project is supposedly a drama titled ‘Saving Jesus’ which is reportedly under development. In ‘Saving Jesus’, Robert Mack will possibly serve as both the director and writer. Among the said cast members for the film are actors Stephen Dorff, Radha Mitchell and Scottie Thompson.
Some of the popular works starring Stephen Dorff are ‘Blade’ in which he played the role of Deacon Frost, ‘Immortals’ which premiered in 2011, ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ a dramedy and ‘Blood For Dust’ which premiered in 2023. Radha Mitchell recently starred in ‘Troppo’ which premiered in 2022. Her other on-screen appearances are in works ‘Man on Fire’ in which she played the role of Lisa Ramos and ‘Celeste’ which premiered in 2018, to name a few. Scottie Thompson’s past projects include ‘Twelve Monkeys’ which has a rating of 7.7 on IMDB, ‘Skyline’ in which she played the role of ‘Elaine’ and more. Though the roles played by the mentioned actors for the upcoming project is not known, their characters will most likely be primary or leading ones.
Plot of ‘Saving Jesus’
While ‘Saving Jesus’ is seemingly yet to commence its production, it does appear to have revealed its plotline. The project will follow a woman who supposedly has brain damage. In the film/ work she is in the midst of fleeing from her ex-lover who poses a threat to her life when she encounters a corrupt televangelist. Soon she gets drawn into their world where she proceeds to become a pivotal figure in the televangelism program. Complications arise when the danger surrounding her life gets more intense and the protagonist along with the televangelist begin to turn victims of the ex-lover and his acts of violence.
‘Saving Jesus’ is supposedly a production under Mark G. Mathis and Orian Williams with Patrick Bauchau also rumored to be joining its cast.
