‘Star Wars: Skeleton crew’ is expected to premiere by the end of this year with a total of eight episodes. The series will narrate the tale of a group of kids who end up getting lost in the galaxy and struggle to find their way back home. Directed by The Daniels (Daniel Scheinert & Daniel Kwan), the series is said to cast Jude Law, the established actor, renowned for his work in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series, ‘The Holiday’, and the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ series, alongside Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter and Robert Timothy Smith among others.
With Disney+ featuring the series, ‘Skeleton Crew’ will definitely be enjoyable to all the Star Wars fans out there as it will potentially showcase the never explored extent of the Star Wars universe. Created by Christopher Ford and John Watts, the series will follow a setting in the New Republican era. Christopher Ford and John Watts are known for their collaborations in Marvel’s ‘Spider Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Clown’. For, ‘Skeleton Crew’, the duo will also potentially serve as the producers alongside Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Watts, Chris Buongiorno and Erin Mitchell.

Originally created by George Lucas, ‘Star Wars’ is a magnanimous space opera wherein humans co exist with aliens and follows the adventures of Luke Skywalker and his companions. Eventually ‘Star Wars’, developed into a mega verse with several new characters and the franchise receiving its own video games, comic books, series and so on. The upcoming series is set in the ‘Star War’s universe post the victory of the rebellion against the Galactic Empire and is described as an adventure from the perspective of children who will serve as the lead characters in the upcoming series.
With The Daniels assuming the role of directing the series, the ‘Star Wars’ franchise’s latest addition is bound to amuse you. The duo is known for their works in the television, film and music industry with some of their popular creations being, ‘Turn down for What’ (music video), ‘Swiss Army Man’ and ‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once’. Joining The Daniels in the team are David Lowery and Jake Schreier, both established artists known for their works such as ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ and ‘Thunderbolts’ respectively.
Season 2: Updates
As of now there has been no official updates on Season 2 of ‘Skeleton Crew’. The renewal of the series will depend entirely on the reception of its first season.
